WebJul 6, 2024 · As the universe expands faster, the event horizon becomes smaller. The smaller a region of space is, the bigger its surface is relative to the space it contains. So the smaller the event horizon gets, the less hawking radiation is emitted, but also the more “dense” the hawking radiation inside the event horizon gets. WebThe black hole loses mass in order to generate the Hawking radiation. The energy carried by the radiation is exactly proportional to the mass lost by the black hole according to Einstein's formula E = mc^2 No new mass is brought into the Universe this way.
