Harley clutch not fully disengaging
WebMar 19, 2010 · Bomber, even when adjusted correctly there is still some friction between the plates with the clutch disengaged. Could be you are just fine. Try holding the front brake, pull the clutch in, and try to start the bike. This resolved the issue. Now symptoms have returned, but there seems to be very little play in the clutch lever this time. Is my clutch cable going bad? Is the clutch going bad?

It got so bad that I couldn't fully disengage the clutch with the lever pulled all the way to the handlebar. Could not find neutral. Shifting was very hard. This will usually resolve itself once the bike has been ridden and the clutch plates are able to free themselves up from some action and movement.
